CJRS (Furlough Scheme) Ends
If you do have people remaining on furlough, the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) scheme closes tomorrow, 30th September 2021. The deadline for submitting final claims is 14th October 2021. (The final months of the scheme meant that employers could claim 60% of furloughed employees' usual wages for the hours not worked, up to a cap of £1,875 per month per employee, whilst the employer needed to contribute 20% to top up to the 80% minimum).

Statutory Sick Pay Reclaims
The Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme also closes on 30th September 2021. Employers have until 31st December 2021 to submit any final claims, or to amend claims already submitted. (Employers with less than 250 employees could reclaim up to two weeks of SSP paid to employees for sickness absence or self-isolation that was coronavirus-related, until 30th September).
